Join LI South East to hear from Jon Sheaff about the background and principles of natural capital accounting for green infrastructure.
Jon Sheaff is Director of Jon Sheaff Associates (JSA), 2018 LI Award winners for their work on the natural capital account for the London Borough of Barking and Dagenham. JSA are also shortlisted for two awards in the LI 2020 Awards

Jon has over 25 years experience of in developing and delivering strategy and design for public open space. Jon set up Jon Sheaff and Associates in 2011. The practice has specialised in developing policy and strategy for the public realm, winning several awards for pioneering work on natural capital accounting.
Tim Dyer CMLI, Senior Environmental Design Officer, New Forest District Council
Tim is Senior Environmental Designer at New Forest District Council and is responsible for programme management of the Recreational Mitigation Project, approximately £4.5 million of environmental projects in the current tranche to 2026. Adopted in 2014 the programme seeks to mitigate the environmental effects of an increased population, principally by influencing recreation behaviour. He is also project and contract managing a £330K proposal for a new 1.5 hectare public open space in Totton.
In his previous role as the Environment and Heritage Team Manager at West Sussex County Council, Tim led their approach to non-native species and Green Infrastructure. He worked strategically with other teams and directorates to shape and influence their direction through strategies, plans, policies, projects and bids (e.g. Natural Capital, Green Infrastructure etc). He was responsible for maintaining and influencing WSCC's external environmental partnership work, liaising with SDNPA, High Weald AONB, SLNP, Environment and Climate Change Board, representing the County Council and providing an overview of his team’s disciplines.
Tim has been an active member of the Landscape Institute South East Committee since its establishment in 2008, taking up roles as Chairman, Branch Representative and currently Treasurer.
Akash Wadhawan CMLI, Associate, Hyland Edgar Driver
Akash Wadhawan is a Chartered Landscape Architect and is an Associate at Hyland Edgar Driver. Akash is also a committee member of the South East Branch of the Landscape Institute and is the current Chair.
