6. Keynote – what is the meaning of landscape?

Summary

What does Marian Spain, Chief Executive of Natural England, honestly think about what landscape actually means? Is it the wildlife around us? The beauty we see? The ways we interact with our environment? What is the role of landscape professionals in all this? How can the landscape professions help meet the challenges of the climate and biodiversity emergency?
