Jellicoe 2025: New Homes, New Landscapes
27 Nov 2025
Online
The LI’s online Jellicoe lecture on ‘New homes, new landscapes’ was delivered by Tony Juniper CBE. The UK Government sees house building as not only a social imperative but as a route to economic growth. The push for new housing will create thousands of new landscapes. How this is done and where we build these homes will help determine whether we are creating places that provide long-term value for people, place, and nature.
Tony Juniper, CBE is a leading environmental thinker – a former Director of Friends of the Earth, special adviser with The Prince of Wales’s International Sustainability Unit and President of the Wildlife Trusts and author of numerous environmental books. He is currently Chair of Natural England, the government’s adviser for the natural environment in England.
In this Jellicoe recording, hear his perspective on the building agenda where they also discuss how we can capitalise on it to provide long-term economic, environmental and societal value.
