LI East Midlands: Skateboarding Landscapes – Designing for Diverse and Active Cities

An online talk by Chris Lawton, lifelong skateboarder and academic at NTU.

At this online event, lifelong skateboarder and academic at Nottingham Trent University, Chris Lawton, will talk about the ‘Skate Nottingham’ project, dedicated to the development of skateboarding in Nottingham. He will present international examples of landscapes provided for skateboarding which are growing in importance with skateboarding’s inclusion in The Olympics in Tokyo. His work looks at the opportunities for increasing and diversifying local engagement on designing for physical activity within the urban environment.

50% of all admissions charges will be donated to Chris’ ‘Skate Nottingham’ project.
