5. Valuing the Nature on our Doorstep

Summary

Landscape architects possess the technical skills and knowledge to play a major role in tackling the climate and biodiversity crisis but our most important role may be to engage and inspire others with the natural world. Can climate and biodiversity issues be approached from the bottom up? How can landscape architects help people see that their ‘place’ and local environment no matter how modest is already part of the natural.
