Contracts and Contract Administration
In this masterclass, delve into the main contracts relevant to landscape architects; namely JCLI, JCT, JCT D&B, and NEC. Speakers
Avra Ploumi – Archer
Avra is a chartered landscape architect and urban designer with over 20 years experience, both in public and private practices and now runs her own practice. Avra has also qualified as a PRINCE2 Practitioner in Project Management, is an accredited designer with Learning Through Landscapes and also teaches the Professional Practice Module at the University of East London.
Avra is involved in all aspects of the landscape discipline; from concept design and masterplanning to detailing of hard and sot landscape, project management and implementation on site.
Avra has worked extensively on Education, Community and Healthcare projects as well as on larger Residential developments from design development and technical detailing, all the way through to project delivery.
Chris Wellbelove
Chris Wellbelove is a Director of Blakedown Landscapes, one of the leading landscaping and civil engineering specialists in the UK. With nearly two decades of experience in the industry, he holds a BSc Honours in Business Management and a Masters in Construction Surveying from Reading University.
Chris has extensive expertise in the field of commercial landscaping, especially in procurement, successfully securing contracts worth over £20 million annually. He has an in-depth knowledge of the drivers that influence both public and private sector clients and understands the potential challenges that can arise during the commercial process.
Chris is passionate about building strong and collaborative relationships, with both clients and landscape architects, characterised by full transparency and a shared goal of achieving mutually beneficial outcomes.
Clare Penny CMLI
Clare is a Chartered Landscape Architect with over 15 years experience working in the public and private sectors. Clare is Course Leader for Landscape Architecture at the University of East London, where she oversees three post-graduate courses. Clare is a Pathway Assessor and is Deputy Chief Supervisor.
James Rand
Chartered Quantity Surveyor with a breadth of experience in multiple sectors in roles as PM, CA & QS.
Simon Williams CMLI
I am a chartered Health & Safety Practioner with over 15 years of extensive experience in construction, fire, training & project management. I have worked on some very well know projects such as Gatwick Airport and Sheppey Crossing.
